Nintendo, why do you have to make things so hard for those of us who want to buy a Wii (or two)?  Even though the system hit the stores in late 2006, fans everywhere are griping about stock shortages at their local retailers.  It's only a matter of time before someone posts a music video about it on YouTube (hey! our idea!)

The good (and most likely frustrated) folks at Gamestop are now saying that this production issue will continue at least through the end of the summer.  I know the Wii is incredibly popular right now, but didn't you guys plan on this?  At this point, one can only hope that this shortage is solved soon or else there may be a tearful Christmas ahead.

No, we're not talking about Robin Hood or some politician.  Square Enix will soon be issuing their Final Fanasy Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land (aka My Life As a King) to Wii Ware and it will include a number of controller options.  Not only will you be able to play with the Wiimote solo or the Nunchuk attached, but the GameCube and Classic controllers are also viable options.

RPG fans will be glad to know that there will be a thief class added to the title, so you'll be able to perform all of the shifty, michievous tasks with ease.  Got a flatscreen?  The game's got the option to play with a 16:9 widescreen ratio.  Long live the king!

No Peeking! 03/19/2008

Sometimes you gotta be thankful for all of the subpar titles out there. Although we complain about them, they make us appreciate the superior games that are on their way. Spike's Gametrailers TV (www.gametrailers.com/gametrailerstv_player.php?ep=11) gave Wii fans a whiff of an early Christmas present.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime has been quoted as saying "we are going to have great new content maximizing all our key franchises." The suggestion there is that we may be seeing some of our Nintendo faves make their Wii debuts this holiday season. While there has already been a good deal of speculation, I know what I'd like to see - Animal Crossing.

Isn't it still weird to see Sega developing games for Nintendo? This week, the former console giant releases Sega Superstars Tennis for the Wii. Yes, Sonic is a featured character.

Other games released this week include George of the Jungle (did we need this?), Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, and WWII Aces. For fans of the Worms series, we give you Worms: A Space Oddity. Yes, it's all you imagine it to be - worms in space.

For those of you out there who are huge Nintendo fans and believe beating Sony and Microsoft is a core mission of life, then here's the post for you. It turns out that Super Smash Bros Brawl lost the top position last month which is not that surprisingly considering it's been out in Japan for awhile. Another interesting fact is that the Nintendo Wii console is still doing very well.

The Sony PSP topped the charts with 73K sales, but the Nintendo Wii was close at 64K. The top game was Gundam Musou Special which sold a massive 149,846 copies, but consider that it is a brand new game. Another interesting note is that Wii Fit sold 64K even after being out awhile now, which is very impressive. Looks like the Nintendo Wii is still all over the charts and is doing quite well. Also consider that Nintendo DS is also doing very well so Nintendo really has all bases covered.

It turns out that some people received faulty discs which promptly killed their euphoric high. People believe that Nintendo has made some errors with their new release of dual layered DVDs. Previously, all games were printed on single layer DVDs.

Nintendo has made it all better for the folks who received bad discs, but it still doesn't fix the issue that they won't be enjoying Super Smash Bros Brawl until they get a replacement disc. Some stores don't accept returns on software and games, but maybe they'll make an exception for this.

Mastiff is releasing Major League Eating which is a stimulus game where you use your Wii controller to do a handful of stimulates such as cram, toss, and the typewriter, to try to out eat your component.

This game is online compatible, so you can try to out eat people in hotdogs and whatever eles they may eat. The launch date is May 12th. So get ready, set, and eat your way into this game.

Lease a Wii 03/02/2008

There is this place named Kelly's that is leasing a Wii for $79 a month for 12 month and after that it is yours. So basically it's like when you lease to own a car. Which is pretty dumb because you pay 4 times as much.

The better plan is to save $79 a month for 3 month then buy the Wii for $250. Waiting 3 months if you don't have the cash is better than paying $79 a month for 12 month. I find this pretty funny.
