As you probably already know, finding a place to buy Nintendo Wii is just about as hard as finding a needle in a haystack. What you're probably wondering is what the heck is going on with Nintendo. Why can't they make more? The answer to this question is that Nintendo planned a very aggressive sales campaign which meant they would produce 1.2 million Nintendo Wiis per month.
The problem is that the demand is way more than 1.2 million per month. They are now frantically trying to increase production because they know they are losing out on customers who will end up buying the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3. Then these customers will buy games for these consoles which hurts even more.
Nintendo is now up to 1.8 million units per month which is quite an increase from the standard 1.2 million units. Nintendo has even stated they feel the stock issue is an embarrassment of opportunity. So Nintendo is trying, hang in there and get one from eBay or Amazon.
